- Bought as hunting land but bought mainly for investment purposes prior to the various gas, and oil rush, such as timbering, hunting, and various depth levels of Gas and Oil, Coal and potentially transmission line. Land has power line ROW now, not sure if that can be used as transmission ROW in conjunction. Land men came several times and wanted a free ride same as in PA when they originally offered freebie lease & royalty rates to landowners and resold them for as much as 900 times more than they paid plus their increase in royalty rates when they flipped it, not bad for them but everyone knows better now.
