- I previously worked for Cameron Iron Works (about 40 years ago). Cameron makes blowout preventers, and the recent blowout of in a Gulf oilfield owned by Arco (Now BP) was of interest.
Beyond that some of my interests are in geology, and I wanted to post a response to another that was puzzled by the amount of topsoil covering the tar sands, and how it might have gotten there. There was a typical response about continental drift, which I believe to be wrong.
