- signed lease in 2009 with A&B Resources for a non-rilling contract; that was bought by Chevron in 2011.I own surface land but only 50% of the mineral rights; the other 50% is was owned by a man who died leaving no heirs. I was informed by Chevron this summer that because I only own 1/2 the rights all payments are suspended until they find the heir that owns the other 50%. The group I was in has a well that is now producing.
