Does anybody know about the seismic trucks in the area recently?

I heard that Shell is in northern butler county and offering 3k an acre as of 7/12/11, and is working with the landowners and their attorneys. They even opened another new office in the city of butler last month. The recent interest in northern butler county might have something to do with venango county, or vice versa.
...new ballgame...effective 7/15/11. the Marcellus Shale Advisory Comission has approved Forced Pooling for Pa. The governor is expected to sign it next week.
Producers regain control. Are they padding the politicians pockets?

I saw the trucks on 198 near Meadville early this week.  Being new to all of this, should I assume the lease offers will follow the trucks?  Currently have an expired lease on 105 acres, and would be interested in learning if the lease offers will be coming to Crawford County.

If the test shows that there is something worth drilling for you may hear from someone.  Be patient and if you do hear from someone don't fall for their car salesman tactics.   We held out over a year on our lease in Clarion Co. and the offer multiplied by over 17 times.  Plus, we had a list of addenda on our side.  If things start warming up the formation of a landowners group is your best friend.
