Hello Everyone,
When we first got the offer sheet from ILG, my reaction was this must be some kind of scam. I am finding out its real.
My wife & I have +/- 58 acres on Moore Ridge Rd just into Center Township (good road frontage.). Its looking like the best way for most of us to aproach this is to join a land group to pool our bargaining power. I'd be open to listening to opinions and willing to take suggestions that would guide us toward joining a land group.
My biggest concern is being left holding the bag, waiting too long. Can anyone out there help get us started in figuring out which way to turn?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

My cousin just called me and said he and several of his neighbors are very interested in being part of a landowner group run by landowners. I told him I would see what is happening the Monroe County site and obtain information for him.

He is more interested in a non profit landowner group, not someone who is trying to make alot of money off the landowners. Can you get me any names and phone numbers when able? I would really appreciate. I helped with a Landowner group in Guernsey County and it grew like a wild fire. We donated our skills and time and now we have a lawyer to help us with marketing & bidding. Our leaders is still very involved in the process. Jeanette

Permalink Reply by John Lusk on September 13, 2011 at 5:29am We have no fee. We ask for $1.00 donation per family per meeting. We have legal consul for guidance for drawing up our lease from within the group. But all will share in cost for outside the group legal representation. Equality.

I'm a 170 acre landowner in Perry Twp north of Antioch living now in NE Ohio near Akron. Was approached by Wishgard a couple of months ago with high pressure to sign up but I don't like high pressure. I like the idea of keeping the control in the community. I have another person up here in a similar situation with 60 acres. Would it make sense for us to come down for your meeting at Laings in the 22nd? Do you have anuthing you could send me in advance?

I send you a similar request for information yesterday. My e-mail should be on my profile but is gstarr@starrandsons.com. Would I fit into your group with property north of Antioch along route 800?

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
