Utica well rumored to produce 15 million cubic ft a day

There is an article out today that mentions what I believe to be about buell well in harrison county.

 

"Take the example of what may be the most productive well in Ohio history. State Sen. Jimmy Stewart, R-Albany, said he heard a rural Harrison County well was pumping 15 million cubic feet of gas daily.

A spokeswoman for Chesapeake Energy, the Oklahoma-based owner, said the well in question is still being evaluated, and he couldn't confirm the numbers."

It may take a couple of years but I think they will be able to market all the wet gas they can move. These plants in the east are working deals right now to take what they can get and will get involved in the infrastructure to get it there. These drillers will be able to make the price very attractable and still make twice the margins they do on dry gas

Isn't that what the Ashland Refinery does in Canton? I was told that is why they did some kinda shut down several months back...to gearup/retool to handle the "wet gas"

That was their standard fall turnaround which our company performed a lot of work at but they are making arrangements to handle offload and storage of the wet gas, I would think that it will take several months

That's why they're building a pipeline from Washington pa to cambridge
- to tie into a ethane line that goes to Texas out by Cambridge
It will handle 90,000 barrels a day of ethane

"Northern Segment: 110 miles of a newly constructed liquid ethane pipeline from at or near Houston, Pennsylvania and at or near Natrium, West Virginia (assuming completion of the Dominion fractionation facility) to at or near Cambridge, Ohio and surrounding areas;"

Although that is just the start based on these production numbers

The bulk petroleum traffic on 70 has increased dramatically and there
are only a few wells producing.

McClendon, CEO of Chesapeake, said they would barge it out if they had to.

On wednesday for the first time I saw a mark west propane truck headed south on 79 near washington.
