I have added the HICKENBOTTOM 1 drilling unit located at I-70 and Route 40, to BICS Google Earth Map of the OH Utica wells. It is has a very interesting shape. You will need Google Earth installed on your computer to open the map.

Permalink Reply by Philip Brutz on December 18, 2011 at 12:21pm I have drawn out the units in Harrison, Guernsey, Belmont, Noble and Monroe and added them to BICS Google Earth map. I also color coded the units by gas Co. Please add any suggestions.

I would be happy teach you if you are interested. I won't be able to keep up with it after the drilling really gets going. Here is my latest map of all of the Utica drilling units in OH.

Permalink Reply by Philip Brutz on January 8, 2012 at 7:40am I made a map layer of the Belmont Geological Survey Core Records. You can click on each placemarker for a link to the record. None of the cores go deeper than 1000' and where done to map out the coal veins.
