Can anyone explain the different parts of the utica shale map.  Parts such as Immature, oil, wet gas, dry gas, and overmature.  Seems like wet gas is the best right now, but are the other ones worth investing property in.

David, did you ever get an aswer to this.

No i didn't get answer till today.  Thanks

Dry gas is just that - dry, no liquids, price of this gas is based on NYMEX price.

Oil..............is that - OIL

Immature - hydrocarbons are not cracked into either gas and/or oil.  Good luck in trying to get any produciton here.

Wet gas - comprised of natural gas with a "liquid" fraction.    Think of WD-40 here - very similar: high flash point, burns like hell.

Wet gas & Oil are bringing the highest prices.  Dry gas - sucks in terms of price.

does anybody know if the Cheeseman well had any wet gas?

I think Rex stated that the Cheeseman well was all "dry" gas..

Thank for your answer I think, only because I have property itn southern ohio that looks like it's in the immature part.  Are the lines accurate.  There have been wells drilled her in the past.  Thank you for your response.

time will tell good luck
