CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT SURRENDER AND CANCELLATION OF GAS LEASE MEENS?

i heard of alot of my neighbors are signing leases with shell as of last week in butler county in clay township and my lease is with shell i signed back in december 2011

So Shell is signing your neighbors but yet canceled/surrendered your lease???  Did you call them?  Was your landman James Whiteford?  Doesn't make sense to sign others and to cancel yours if in the same township?

NO THEY DID NOT CANCEL MY LEASE IT WAS A FRIEND THAT WANTED ME TO ASK THIS QUESTION!

I signed with a lawyer that has made the deal with Shell. Been waiting for the lease to sign for 2 months. I'm not very optimistic at this point. Talked to XTO last year a few times on my own and they didn't want to budge from the boiler lease of theirs which didn't look to bad at first glance. Then towards the end of the year the main land man was transferred  to OH 10  to the wet gas and we have an office girl making any boiler XTO leases in Butler Co. now.
