I believe the lease we signed had all pipelines at 48" or more in depth for exactly that reason.   So I would say it's doable.   Don't know about a current price but I am sure someone out there does.

We had a pipeline go through our property but it was not through Chessy, it was NATIONAL Fuel who owns Seneca.  These guys were terriffic.  We had certain issues and we met with the project engineer on these issues and they included them in our contract.  First, you need to find out how many lines they are putting in.  if there are more than one find out the diameter of the total inches.  We were paid that total $ per foot.  Do not allow any cables in the ditch unless it is being used for monitoring wells and lines.  It has been known that they lease out the use of these communication lines for other purposes and they make a killing on it and you get nothing.  If a communication line is installed negotiate a figure in $.  We got paid for timber damage, surface damage, the footage and for building an access road.  If they need to build a road, get paid for it.  Our pipeline is 3 ft deep but is all in wooded areas.  We requested a meeting with all the subcontractors before they moved in, not all at once but as the project proceeded.  National Fuels subcontractors and employees were polite, respectful, did not throw trash around on our property and kept us updated on what was going on and when.  They had it together.  We had a signup payment and the rest paid to us the day they started.  I would gladly recommend them.  They agreed to plant the area with deer food plot mix which is a big benefit to us.  They offered to plant some fruit trees also.  We got paid twice the amount of timber and they gave it back to us, as a matter of fact they topped it and stacked it where we wished.  I hope this has helped you, make a list of your concerns and have a pow wow and see how it pans out.  Do not sign anything until everything is in writing.  The best to you.

We have property in Lee Twp. close to the White and Snoddy wells.  We signed a ROW agreement w/Chesapeake and included in our addendum that the depth be at 48" rather than the 36" plow depth.  Chesapeake agreed to that depth.
