Atlas energy main office is based in Philadelphia.
maybe a "horizontal" driller that jacks pipe under roads, but not any natural gas drillers.
I repeat myself....Atlas Energy
Oildude, where are you located?
OLD NEWS: Atlas Energy was bought out by Chevron in 2010: http://dealbook.nytimes.com/2010/11/09/chevron-to-buy-atlas-energy-...
Atlas Energy L.P. is an MLP that was an earlier spin off of Atlas Energy, it trades under the stock symbol ATLS and is headquartered in Philadelphia, PA.:
http://www.atlasenergy.com/contact-us/
Atlas Energy L.P. is the general partner for Atlas Resources L.P., it trades under the stock symbol ARP and is headquartered in Moon Township (outside Pittsburgh, PA): http://finance.yahoo.com/q/pr?s=ARP+Profile
Atlas Energy L.P. is the general partner for Atlas Pipeline Partners an MLP that trades under the stock symbol APL and is headquartered in Moon Township (outside Pittsburgh, PA): http://finance.yahoo.com/q/pr?s=APL+Profile
What was Atlas Energy is now part of Chevron (headquartered in San Ramon, California).
What is left trading under the name Atlas are several MLPs – all headquartered near Pittsburgh and the “General Partner” L.P. located in Philadelphia, PA. Atlas Energy are NOT based in Philadelphia; Atlas Energy L.P. is based in Philadelphia - they are completly different entities.
These MLPs are essentially Midstream and Upstream Royalty Trusts and are not drilling horizontal wells in the Marcellus or Utica. Active Marcellus and Utica drilling interests of Atlas Energy were sold to Chevron more than one year ago.
I know of no O & G companies which drill in the Marcellus or Utica that are currently based in Philadelphia.

Jack,
Atlas has reformed after selling assets to Chevron. Happens all the time. End of story. Thanks for trying to show differently, but I can assure you that they are a driller with actual assets and they will be drilling in PA soon.

And, should there be drilling; that drilling would be done for:
Atlas Resources L.P., it trades under the stock symbol ARP and is headquartered in Moon Township (outside Pittsburgh, PA): http://finance.yahoo.com/q/pr?s=ARP+Profile.
Atlas Energy is the General Partner, but the Upstream E & P company is Atlas Resources L.P. based near Pittsburgh.
And I do not believe that Atlas Resources L.P. are a driller, as they do not seem to own any drilling rigs. Atlas Resources L.P. are an Upstream MLP; they would contract out any drilling to a drilling contactor.
If Atlas plan to contract to drill in PA soon, could you direct me to any Drilling Permit Applications current on the PA DEP website?
JS
If you are familiar with the DEP site, go look yourself under Atlas Resources and Lycoming county.
Ah yes, it is Atlas Resources Partners L.P., the E & P MLP with Corporate headquarter located in Pittsburgh:

Glad that this has been cleared up.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
