Thanks for the info, be good to get as much information as possible. Been meaning to give Mike a call any way.

Any meetings planned in the near future?? Missed the April meeting.
Dan,

I can explain the idea about tax deferral that I just posted in detail better over the phone. If you want to call me, then feel free. My number is 216-409-1710. You will be hearing alot more about the tax deferal idea in the coming months as it is just starting to take off with Landowner groups.

Regards,
Mike Vary

New meeting date is.

June 26th  7pm   Pymatuning Valley High School

Everyone is welcome to attend.

Dan,

We're going to have to pass afterall.

Talked to Steve @ Buckeye.

He told me over the phone that Buckeye would not even provide extinguishing a lease extension that has come full term, saying that would be up to an attorney.

Well, my questions would be then as follows:

1.  What exactly does Buckeye provide an enrollee for 2 3/4% of a signing bonus ?

2.  Who pays Buckeye ?  The enrollee's attorney ?

3.  Or does Buckeye expect an enrollee to pay an attorney + Buckeye ?

Sounds to us like paying too much money to too many people for not enough service.

Wanted to send this as a private e-mail but you haven't responded to my 'friend invitation' as yet after I've noted another of your posts - so thought it best to just get it off my chest here and get  passed all of it.

What will I get for my 2/3/4 %.  A lease I can accept.

Who pays Buckeye, if I get paid ,  I pay Buckeye the 2 3/4% ,  sounds reasonable to me.

2 3/4% too much for not enough, not for me.

First it was no one works for nothing, now its they want too much money ,  watch you don't fall off that fence.

The best thing is I still have all my options open with regard to O/G leasing I'm not married to anyone yet.

'The best thing is I still have all my options open with regard to O/G leasing I'm not married to anyone yet.'

ditto that (after my extension of lease comes full term and it's completely extinguished - which Buckeye offers no assistance with - and which I don't quite understand the reasoning as to why they don't).

Got off (didn't fall off) of the fence (but, not on Buckeye's side).

You know I happen to know for a fact that there are quite a few other landowners in my circumstance - just differing due dates.

That could work out to be challenging and a detriment to Buckeye should they continue to offer no assistance clearing titles / extinquishing full term extensions / etc.

Well than, sign with Steve....there are people on this site like Dan who are trying to help/inform everyone. Then people like you who nobody can satisfy ! If you have 640 acres you can sign with anyone but you don't so just be patient. Not trying to be ignorant by any means, but you need to look at the whole picture. From what I've heard, all of the big gas companies are pretty much done. Work together like we did and sign the smaller guys. Hopefully it will help our local economy.

If I can't get the service I'm looking for in a Lessee (or Marketeer) why would I sign with them ?

That would be stupid on my behalf.

I never thought of myself as stupid.

Do you think of me as stupid ?

Can someone share any info from the meeting last night? We couldn't be there due to work. Thanks!  Kris

Really no earth shattering news, pretty much general info explaining the lease process. Bob suggests we make sure we are the true owners of the mineral rights, also talk to your neighbors and bring them into the fold, the more contiguous land, the better it is.

Also was brought up that a a commitment letter signing was in the near future. The commitment will be  180 days to get a deal done.
