There appears to be a definite lack of interest on this County Site for some reason. Puzzling .
I agree, why the lack of interest?
I don't know , Dave........
New Castle News ran a couple of encouraging articles today.
The "FeedMill Grapevine" says Shell plans 24 wells for the Patterson Site and that Hilcorp will be putting a pad on Pyrotechnica's New Beaver Boro property.
Jim L. : Have you heard this?
Haven't heard anything about the gateway well lately either.
Glenn
I'm wondering how they would get 24 wells from the Patterson site?
Also do you know how I could get a copy of the article, which day the article ran?
Thank you
Here's a link to the NC News story;

Article states that the Gateway pad is just getting started.
And Hilcorp is drilling in Pulaski. You can see the rig if you are heading south on Rt 60/I376. I heard rumors about a N Beaver site and also two in Mercer Co.
24 wells seems like a pipedream....lol....at this point. But it may be possible some time in the distant future if they drill the Upper Devonian, the Trenton Black River, the Utica, and the Marcellus all from one pad.
Thanks Jim. I have to agree with you about the 24 well rumor but the same rumormill also says Shell is very pleased with The Patterson Site thus far and plans a compressor station nearby. I hope we are in a good wetgas area here.
I border Pyrotechnico's and Yost Farms' property but am leased to Shell. Hear of any deals between Shell & Hilcorp yet?
Don't know anything about any JVs or swaps. But I wouldn't know any sooner than anyone else. I hadn't heard about the compressor station....how solid is that tidbit?
Shell people have said they are very pleased with the Patterson well.
I keep hearing rumors that Shell hit oil and very wet gas at a site near Slippery Rock. Has anyone else heard this? And is this well a Utica or Marcellus?
Jim,
The compressor station story as well as the 24 well thing I heard from a neighbor who gets his info from sources at a local feedmill. Only time will tell if they are true. The nature of the product from these local wells will be unveiled only when they get turned in line and we can see what types of processing equipment are involved at these sites. So far the Patterson is not tapped in and they are completing the last 2 wells. The paper said they expect to tap into pipeline around first of the year (2013). I believe that was said last year about the 2 initial wells also. Hmmmm.
Thanks for the feedback Jim , and let's hope for the best!
Compressor station rumor is reality

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
