Approached to sell royalties

New to this site. Has Anyone sold their royalties? If so how much did you receive. We have been approached by a company wanting to purchase some of our interest . We own property in western guernsey and western noble counties. We are strongly considering selling a portion. Any input would be appreciated.

Glenn,

  I followed GMS many months before I posted anything. The rhetoric has seemed to descend recently. I've also noticed that some members whose posts I highly regarded seem to have drifted away. Attempting to put a positive (somewhat) spin on things, maybe its the current heat wave exacerbated by the election-year political atmosphere tainting the commentary!!!

  We landowners are very fortunate to be in this position. Personally, I feel very lucky to be here, but I want to do all I can to maximize the benefit of the good fortune for myself, family and others around me. I think we need to understand that all the players in this continuing drama are acting in their own best interests, and we need to adjust our own reactions to that reality. And as we've both noted, the reality is rapidly changing.

Things have certainly deteriorated here.  Hopefully, I have not contributed to that to any extent.  If I have I certainly apologize. Keith will have his work cut out for him to monitor all the various pages and discussions on this site.


This site has been very helpful for me and countless others. Hope it continues to do so.

I, too, have watched for a while before becoming a contributing member. I was lit up right out of the gate. But, I believe that I defended myself with dignity in a non-offensive and articulate manner. It was very disappointing. But, sadly, all open forums endure this displeasure.
On the whole, I am still impressed with the real and solid individuals who offer constructive advice, and relate their experiences. Not just argumentitively engage the role of "Negative Nancy/Ned".
So, I will offer this - to those people who are here seeking answers and sharing real positive knowledge..... I stand and applaude you for maintaining the integrity of a potentially wonderful exchange of knowledge.
I have had several friend requests. And, it is my pleasure to make those and hopefully many more.
