Doe anyone know the price of natural gas now? Is expected to go up anytime in the near future. I know royalty is way down and heard it is because of the gas price being low and too much gas and no where to ship it.

Permalink Reply by Bob on July 13, 2012 at 3:27am Hi Jasmine,
Hard to tell if gas is moving. The amount of activity where I live has deminished greatly since last summer. I continue to see wells being drilled and the pipelines being laid but not at the pace of a year ago. I saw a show on Mad Money where the CEO of ConEd stated that they are very positive of natgas coming from the Marcellus. NYC is bucking the trend of the rest of the country with building permits at a record high. ConEd is for the first time in decades installing new and larger gas lines into the city with the goal of using Marcellus gas. Last year our gas co. said gas needs to be above $4 in order for them to make money. I'll keep watching the price and see what happens. We'll see.
