I don't understand your math...
Permalink Reply by Doug Duffield on July 29, 2012 at 11:55am Cryptic as always, as most of se Bradford is Chk, just who of the four partners are paying this price?
Permalink Reply by Mari-Anne Mahlau on July 30, 2012 at 2:45am what is a "gathering"? And who was promised $12 gas? My fiancee and I inherited land with a lease and are completely new to all of this lingo. Is there a thread where the process and how royalties work is laid out?
Current gas prices on the commodity market were over $3 last week. We are not yet receiving royalties, but have a unit in Sheshequa with 6 wells planned and now drilled.

Mari- "gathering" is transporting gas from wellhead to tie-in ti the interstate pipeline, Tenn Gas Pipeline in this case. Natural Gas was deregulated in the 90s, I think it was. And is a free market, price is baseline supply/demand. Supply exploded up the last few years and crashed prices even with record use/demand. However the gas rig count is 505 down from a high of `1600 IN June 2008, WHEN GAS was 10-13$ / btu.
