Is there anyone on here that signed a lease with Gulfport on April 27th-28th? Did you receive your bonus payment yet?

My advice is to have a little more patience. We signed with Gulfport last October they paid in full and came thru 100% with everyone that I've talked to that owned their mineral rights Best to stay where you're at, you don't need a go-between,It will only cost you money.

Permalink Reply by Ellie Mae on September 20, 2012 at 2:13am We signed then, haven't heard from Gulfport. I'm going on the assumtion, no news is good news. I did hear a rumor that rejection letters from that signing have already went out, so if we didn't get a letter, we will be getting a check......Holding my breath everyday as I check the mail!
Permalink Reply by Jon Henderson on September 20, 2012 at 4:54am If the payment is like it was before, it will come FEDEX in a nice big envelope. They won't leave it if your not home, but they will leave you a call tag. Makes your heart beat fast everytime FEDEX pulls up.

Permalink Reply by Ellie Mae on September 21, 2012 at 3:00am Thanks Red! You're right, until someone tells me they don't want my property, i will still hold my breath when i hear/see FedEX!
Permalink Reply by JD on September 21, 2012 at 9:39am I finally got in touch with Gulfport after they did not satisfy the 120 day payment. We live in Wheeling Twp. and they said that they have had numerous problems with the courthouse and would most likely NOT pursue drilling there. He said that letters are being prepared to be sent explaining this, and if you have the opportunity to sign with someone else, he recommended that you do so. He is the head of the Land Department, and his name is Bill Eisheid. You can talk to him at 405-242-4888 to see what your status is. They will release your lease if you don't want to wait. We opted to sign with Southeastern Landowners Group http://seohiolandowners.org/home.aspx .. they locate an energy company for you, and the energy company pays the commission. We were offered $5000 same as we had with Gulfport. 100% of their clients have been paid on time. Something to think about!

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
