Maybe they should run the Internet on clean burning natural gas

The NYT is epic propaganda.  I don't really care what they write.  When they stop being an ADVOCACY magazine and start becoming a neutral reporter of fact, I will start reading it again.  I expect that will never happen.

I think that "we" should not do anything.  Any mandates from above lead to bad economic decisions that impoverish civilization and enrich those with influence.

If natural gas is cheap and clean, people will switch to it automatically without propaganda from biased newspapers or "help" from Washington.  That's why we live in a market economy, so individual market actors can make their own decisions.
