Institute rd. well

Devon has their big rig set up @ the Chumney well in center twp. bout one mile south of I-70 on Institute rd. Looks like it's loaded up with 30" casing pipe. They have 2 permits for that pad. 360 acre drilling unit.   You can see it from the interstate by the truckstop. Very visible from Ints.rd.Biggest rig I've seen around these here parts!

We have property less than one mile north west of the well, keeping our fingers crossed that the well hits big.
We have a lease with Gulfport.

If Devon decides to run a couple laterals northwest, they may get very close to you.

I went by this site today on the way home from Columbus.  The pad seems to be small and overcrowded. Is there a reason or is it my imagination.  A geophysical co. was setting up things out in adjacent fields. Looked like laser sensors. Does anyone have any ideas on what was going on?

Does anybody have the surveyors plat map of this well?My wife has friend that lives a stone throw from the well.She never leased with anybody,only had 2-3acres.Didn't think that was worth bothering. I am trying to find if her property is in the unit.Thanks

323 acre unit. mostly the Chumneys. also James jones--2.5 ac.  Mark Lambes--9.6 ac.  and Robert Wright--2.9 ac. Thats all the map shows as part of the drilling unit. I see they got another permit for a 2nd. lateral that should be taking in the neighbors, but dont know which way that's going yet.

How many feet was the lateral?  If its 323 acres the lateral must be pretty short?

4237ft.   They got a 2nd permit, so there may be another lateral right beside the first. there's room in the 323 ac. unit for another, since they only drain about 550 FT. on each side of the wellbore. the unit is 2665 ft. wide & 5330 ft. long m/l. may be room for 3 laterals!

They must be fracking this well, or getting ready to. they laid a pipeline on top of the ground for about 3 miles south to the lake across rt. 265 by Ideal rd.

Hope Devon is good about reporting initial production reports. They should know something soon. They have a 2nd permit for that pad,the rig may be back soon! The wells they drilled west of here didnt turn out too good. they may want to drill where they can make some $$$.
