Shell (SWEPI LC) seems to be the big player right now. Not sure who the contact is for that area. We are in the process of signing with them right now in Washington TWP just east of you. Our landman is Southeast Land Services in Butler
Yes, seems to be Shell (SWEPI LP). We signed awhile ago, it was also with Southeast Land Services. We are in Slippery Rock Twp. Anyone else in Slippery Rock Twp sign?
We tried to separate out different layers in our agreement but Shell would not go for it.
We tried also and had the same result. You'll be paid for everything that comes out of the well, so it would be the same other than a separate signing bonus for the Utica. Seems like Shell is very interested in the "wet gas" because of the cracker plant they intend to build soon. I read on Yahoo finance that they will decide where they are going to build it by the 2nd quarter of this year.
Jeff,
where and when is the pipeline coming?
That's great news; where do you find this information?
A pipeline company wants a right-of-way across my property to run their pipeline. Does anyone know what payment I can expect for granting a right-of-way?
There is some good info here. What part of Butler County?
Noah, more good info here from the main page, thanks to Fang.

Ro,
Is this a transmission line or gathering line ?
$2.00 per inch per foot. Limit the size of the ROW, 2 ROW, one permanent one temporary, access only to ROW no other part of your property, the agreement is for one line so they have to come back if they want to install anymore, ROW cannot be assigned or sold without your permission and permission can be denied, company cannot grant ROW inside of ROW, you can still use the surface if you are a farmer or you have other uses for the property, landowner may cross ROW,no surface equipment allowed or associated installations without separate agreements (compressors, driers, pig launchers etc), you approve the location of ROW, indemnification clause, insurance clause, company is responsible for all damage it causes or is caused by subcontractors, double ditch method of installation, set depth of line, restoration to original grade, re-seed and guarantee growth of grass, you choose type of grass, limit substances to be transported, company must maintain ROW landowner can collect damages from future activities such as maintenance, replacement etc ,ROW reverts back to landowner after abandonment, plat map/drawings of ROW, pictures of ROW prior to commencement of work and after restoration at cost to company, survey of ROW and proper written description of ROW (not just a description of the property, Limit points of ingress and egress, company pays all costs associated with the ROW including your attorney fees,

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
