AND THE PLOT THICKENS..........

The beginning of this debacle began when we were told on December 20th that our lease was either misplaced or turned in late, so we were not to receive any of our bonus money from Halcon.  On December 23rd, I emailed Jeremy at M and P requesting a phone call back to explain the situation.  On the 24th, Jeremy did in fact return my call, and answered all of my questions to the best (as far as I can tell) of his knowledge.  He told us that there was NO WAY that any of the paperwork was turned in late, and had no idea what happened.  CX has no clue as well.  We were told by Tim Streubal from Halcon that our lease was denied in October.....TODAY, I spoke with someone from Adapt Energy (this company was hired by Halcon to do the deed searches on all of the properties that had been signed).  As I was speaking to him on the phone, he looked up my property on his database.  He told me that they NEVER even received the information required to do the deed search until the WEEK OF DECEMBER 14TH.....BUT, I was already told that they denied my lease in OCTOBER!  IF MY LEASE WAS DENIED, THEN WHY IS SOMEONE DOING A DEED SEARCH?????????  ALSO, I was told that my lease was taken directly from The Legacy (the place that I signed) to M and P to Adapt THEN to Halcon.....According to Jeremy, my lease was not at M and P longer than the maximum of 30 days AFTER we signed....So, how did Adapt get the lease?  Halcon????  Somewhere, someone is not telling the truth.......

Looks like M&P/CX are possibly innocent in your particular situation. Make sure you document who you talked to with Adapt, and the time and date of your calls. Make sure you document all your calls and communications to M&P, CX, and Halcon. When you talk to any of these entities, make sure you identify the persons to whom you are talking. I am going to read your prior posts to get a better picture. Is Halcon so screwed up that they do not know what they are doing. If Halcon rejected your lease in October, why in the world would Adapt be asked to do a title search on December 14, 2012. You are right that this is incomprehensible. Did Adapt do the title search or has Halcon told them not to do it? Pardon my confusion. Please keep posting! Others may have some good  advice.

Bryan,

Thanks for posting your situation. I don't know if you have seen any of my posts but we are in a similar situation. I would like to call Halcon and Adapt Energy as well. Where would I find the #'s and names of who is in charge?? Thanks for any help in advance.

Sam, thank you for the advice, yes, I am doing that.  I have copies of emails, calls, and what the conversation consisted of to each person I have talked to. Honestly, I truly believe that I have more information than any individual that I've had a conversation with in regards to this situation.  Everyone (M and P and CX) is claiming that this is all absurd and have NO idea what happened.  We've found out (today) that as long as Halcon had the list of the signed leases by June 30th, they were honoring them.....we signed June 22nd.  The general manager at CX (Nick) told me that there is no rhyme or reason as to why they are denying these leases.  We are around a mile away from the well in Greene township with 27 acres and were denied..but, my next door neighbor with 3 acres was paid....Brett...Adapt Energy's number is (724) 269-7400.  I am told that they are located in Mercer across from the courthouse.  I spoke with Shawn Jasanowski (sp???).  He was very forthcoming in his information, and answered all my questions to the best of his ability.  He DID tell me that my lease was "put on hold" to work on a new project (set forth by the ALMIGHTY Halcon) this week.  The person at Halcon that I spoke with is Tim Streubal, his number is (832) 538-0300.  I was told that he is "overseeing" the CX energy deal.  Good luck on getting in touch with him.  We have called and left messages numerous times, and was only able to talk to him once.

Thanks Bryan!

Your welcome!
Sam, I was told that they received the info to do the title search the week of the 14th....as of last week they were doing the research. It was stopped this week to do another project from Halcon. This is so off the wall, not a single person has answers!

Does anyone have any information from the CX Energy landowners meeting in Stoneboro last night (Jan 7th)?  Not everyone was invited, only the townships in the NE corner of Mercer County. (Not Sandy Lake Township)

I was wondering too. Meanwhile what is going on with the 2nd Halcon debacle with Sandy Lake Twp?

No answers so far or return phone calls. I have heard thru the grapevine that M&P resolved the National Fuel under ground storage issues in Sandy Lake twp. Apparently there was also some old coal or mineral right issues that were cleared up. No word on whether Halcon will pay the bonuses as promised. Not too hopeful at this point. Not sure which is more frustrating, dealing with Halcon or dealing with M&P.

Someone asked me if I attended the Stoneboro meeting which is why I asked about it. I found the meeting announcement on the M&P website last night (a day late).

Thanks John L. I hope someone lets us know what happened. Some people that post on here regularly and work for CX should let us know what happened! It affects all of us!

I am watching closely as well. Thanks for posting John L. I am STILL waiting to find out the progression our situation!!! No return calls from M&P ....don't even bother with CX as they tell you to call M&P..... Put a call into Adapt energy in Mercer as suggested by Bryan Wilson. So far the guy at Adapt has been the most willing to do ANYTHING but hell he ain't having much luck either. So as the world turns............. so we wait
