Horizontal well downhole video link

The link below contains some very interesting footage of a downhole video camera deployed on coiled tubing and ran into a horizintal well containg frac sleeves. It clearly shows three phases of flow: gas, oil and produced water and demonstrates how horizontal wells are seldom truly horizontal.

 

Downhoe video tools and techniques came into vogue in the early 90's and are widely used as a diagnostic tool for downhole problems (fishing) or to better unferstand flow issues.

Interesting but I didn't see my cell phone!  Oh that went down a different hole, lol.  But the videos are pretty neat in that they can detail so much.

 Brian thank you for posting that very informative,were the pressures down on most of those wells?Could they use the camera system in a full pressure well above 15,000. psi.Thanks again great post.

It's hard for me to tell from the videos if they were taken using pressure control equipment or not.

If used in a well above 15kpsi BHP, I think that they would need to use a pipe snubbing rig and a downhole wireline wet connect system to connect to the camera. Not an undertaking for the faint of heart!!!
