has anyone had any dealings with Vantage in greene county?  They are buying out Chesapeake's contracts and I'm wondering what's going on.  Does anyone have a contact number for them?

What part of Greene County are they working in?

Hello Jarrod I did a google search of Vantage Energy and found a telephone numer for there Royality and land Inquiries. Hope this number helps you
Ops I guess I should put the numer in hu? 1 303 386 8686.

Vantage, is picking up old expiring leases and expanding their dry gas holdings - they do decent wells and have holdings in mostly the middle of Greene.

Appreciate the replies.  I knew Vantage was picking up expiring leases but what good is that doing them if they are expiring in a few months?

My guess would be that they probably bought a block of leases getting ready to expire and are now trying to figure out where to start drilling to hold as much of the acreage that they can. Like I said just a guess.
Rumor has it that CNX bought some leases from Chespeake in the North Western part of Greene County of course like I said just a rumor cause I haven't been able to find any news releases about it.

That's what I figured too.  I'm supposed to meet with the land man (Vantage's) next week.  Going to try and figure out what they have planned.

Keep us posted with what you find out if you will there's lots of folks from Greene County that follow this website just not to many leaving comments
I think if I had a choice I'd choose EQT they don't have as many acres as some out there but they seem to be drilling a lot of wells from there pads.
Personally I'd never let one of this companies give a deadline on negoatations just let them walk there be others.

Carp, I've done extensive title work in county - I can give you specifics on Jackson etc.. hit me up and I can giv you exacts if needed

What they are doing is building units - might even have a hole drilled already in some cases - you can go to the state website look at permits etc... see if one is close to you.

Leasing - prices depending on what and where you are low 1850 Chevron - etc...

Atty in waynesburg to contact who has ironed great leases out with them is Jeff Grimes - seriously I'd talk to him before signing anything - Jeff Local born raised and  fair.

Sounds good,

Thanks,

I had heard where Chevron supposedly offered 3500 hundred and 18 percent Royality but don't know any details about the offered lease or even if the people accepted.
Supposedly Chebron had said that was there very top dollar for this area.
