From direct experience. Once a well goes into production, the Division order must go through due diligence again in order to be sure the correct parties get paid(hopefully).

this process will take up to 6 months. If you are determined to be in a producing unit you will receive a new division order showing all your numbers. Read it carefully, it is often wrong. This is usually about 4 to 5 months after production starts. After the first division order is paid the royalty checks will be paid on a 60 day delay. All March production ending on 3/31/13 will be paid on 5/31/13. This is for the Ohio production unit. Others will have a different pay date.

thanks for that AJ at least i wont be watching the mail box for a while

Where are you guys located that you have a well producing already?

bradford county pa. terry township four wells on our pad all producing

West central Washington County Pa. (Buffalo Twp.)

Over last 4 years lots of drilling to my north (RRC) in Hopewell Twp.

There are producing wells here in ohio co wv
What defines "online" is that drilled followed by pipeline connection

I am in Columbiana County, OH. 2 wells around me - neither are producing yet.

I am in Bradford County, Stevensville and Towanda Areas.  How soon you receive royalties depends on the company.  The company that I am with in Stevensville pays 2 months in arrears. If they pumped in January you get your check in march.  With the Towanda company it was between 4 and 5 months before I received my first royalty.   I have received royalty on my Stevensville property for almost 27 months.

Thanks Jackie; i guess i will have to wait them out thanks again

Hi Bob: I am in the Alexander N/W unit. I have a friendsville group lease and after reading the royalty payment clause in the lease which states I should have been receiving payments after 90 days from when the well went into production, which was May 1 of this year. I called chk about two weeks ago to make them aware of this royalty clause in the lease. Received my D Os 0n Tuesday the 17th of Sept, an sent them back on the 20th. Chk leases probably take longer, the customer rep stated they were working on the other DOs in the unit. Fairly simple to decipher the paperwork ,the only difference was the NW unit size was reduced from 395 to 379. Hope every thing works out for you, won't be too long. .

Hi Ed; I have been off the grid for about 3 weeks; Update, received D.O. papers from CHK on August 15 and D.O. Papers from Statoil a few days later. A phone call to CHK as to why the D.O. papers from Statoil was the first I found out that CHK owned 67.5% and Statoil owned 32.5% of the gas that is produced. On August 23 I received a check from CHK for April (4 days) and the months of May, and June and 2 days Later a check from Statoil  for April (4 days) and the month of may, this brings you up to date \, oh! by the way our unit Alexander SW was reduced to 300 Acres from 307 Acres.
