Has anyone heard anything about the Halcon well on Rainbow Rd in frenchcreek township. I believe the well has already been drilled and have heard they are getting good wet gas from it. Any info would be helpful. I have been aproached about leasing. I am on Niles rd. The well is about a 1/4 mile from my property.

Any activity on the Sandy Creek site yet? Or the Desko site? Bet all these sites are along the pipeline they are putting.
Permalink Reply by JREwing on June 4, 2013 at 9:08am Jim, the Desko site is several miles(10-12?)southeast of Polk. A pretty good piece away from the other 3 Halcon sites, BUT it is almost exactly as close southeast of the NFG pump station as the Allam well is north-northeast of the NFG pumphouse. ~6 miles as the crow flies.
There is currently no activity on the Rainbow or SCC-Glista sites.

Permalink Reply by Kevin Morgan on June 6, 2013 at 7:06am I believe they are having trouble getting a pipeline route out from the rainbow well. They were going to go through me but my neighbor across the road sain no. They had to find another route. I think the pipeline is the biggest reason holding up production.
Permalink Reply by JREwing on June 6, 2013 at 8:49am I believe they have the pipeline issues resolved from Rainbow to SCC-Glista, but I'm not positive. See the permitted pipeline projects below pulled from efacts.

ALLAM TO RAINBOW PIPELINE PROJECT (767858)

Halcon connects it's wells(mostly anyway)and Rainbow already has a pipeline connection permitted to Allam and from Allam to NFG pump station, but not from Rainbow to SCC-Glista or from SCC-Glista to ??? Desko maybe? Dunno. It might just need permitted. Regardless, as you were told by owner, the Rainbow has not even been drilled, let alone fracked and producing. Time will tell if they are able to get all of their ducks(read pipelines)in a row. Allam is shut in pending completion of the pipeline to NFG. Pipelines take time.
Sorry to hear about your neighbor jacking you over on the pipeline deal. That stinks, but best of luck with your lease this time around. Heed the advice given you above. You've been through this once before and should be keenly aware of the pitfalls to avoid.

Permalink Reply by Kevin Morgan on June 6, 2013 at 7:03am I had a lease last year that Halcon backed out on. I also had a pipeline company call me to put a pipeline through my property. I was going to sign for that but they had to go a different route because my neighbor said no. As far as the pipeline, I know they were having a tough time finding a route. A lot of people didn't want a pipeline on thier property.
Permalink Reply by Kevin Morgan on June 16, 2013 at 5:38am Just found out from my neighbor that a pipeline company leased a warehouse to start work on the pipeline to connect the three wells aroun Polk. They told the warehouse owner, who is related to my neighbor, that they will only be here for 6 months. Hope that means they will be done in 6 months and they wells can start producing.
I also talked to the landman thats trying to lease up the remaining properties around the three Polk well sites. He said that they are pushing hard to get the land around the Allman well leased first since it has already been drilled and then move to the Rainbow properties.
Permalink Reply by Kevin Morgan on June 16, 2013 at 6:14am I think it may be. I've done a lot of reading and the French Creek Valley is one of the best areas in the state. From what I have read, the pinpeline infrastructure is holding back most of the production everywhere. Glad to see they are starting to put pipe in the ground around us in Polk.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
