I'm new to this site. I heard neighborhood gossip saying that Big Oil is really not interested in Ashtabula County. I attend a group meeting but haven't had one since February. Is there truth to the gossip? We live in Eastern Ashtabula County; Sheffield Township. Are there any negotiations going on?

There were leases being taken not terribly long ago by Black Ridge, but I don't know if they're still around. Once some of the wells in northern Trumbull county come online you'll see how viable the play is up your way and you'll see activity that corresponds one way or another.

I'm reading the well shows gas at both the Queenston and the Utica Intervals - no mention of oil - but it's only a vertical test bore and as such not fractured (I guess) - maybe they need a horizontal to gather any oil show (perhaps the lateral would have to even be fractured) - don't really know enough about how to read / interpret such a report on a test bore.
Wondering about the pressure in the bore also ?
Can anybody help read / interpret that thing ?
Forgot to thank you for the information Bob.
So, a belated Thank You will have to do.
