Swepi applied for seven horizontal well permits for the Caporali Pad in Clay Township a couple of weeks ago. I have attached the plats for these proposed wells. One well is targeting the Utica, three targeting the Marcellus, and three targeting the Burket Shale which is the Upper Devonian, just above the Marcellus.

Permalink Reply by Geo5 on June 4, 2013 at 2:17pm Shell had a contractor at the Caporali site today doing some engineering on site. They had a small drill at the site drilling test holes. i would assume they are checking the ground to see how solid the ground is. This would be pre pad building.
