What`s happening to Consol Energy`s coal group? Any changes coming?

I`m hearing rumors of mines being sold...anyone hearing same rumors?   What`s the future for Consol Energy?

Am hearing same rumor from coal miners in Consol mine;  say a mine owner from Illinois has visited mines checking them out;   guess time will tell if it is rumor or fact.

They promoted a bunch of their CNX division leadership maybe 6-8 months ago, after the former CONSOL top dogs "retired." Wouldn't surprise me if they're shifting strategy toward drilling/cleaner energy as it seems that's the direction the industry is moving. Also lots of resources for drilling right in their back yard. I just wish they weren't so slow and quiet.

Any update on rumors of Consol mines being sold?   If so, when, and how will the sale impact the natural gas side of the company?

I have heard the rumor that Ben Statler and Murray are looking to buy CONSOL's mines.   Consol would like to separate their coal and gas portions, coal has been a drag on the stocks performance.  They were separated about 8 years ago but Consol repurchased CNX gas after a previous separation.

Rumors are that a public announcement will be made following October 30 board meeting.
