Does anyone know why they test for several consecutive days?

Yep. Seriously. And with the one exception mentioned, always recorded excellent data. Never any need to retread the same ground during normal 3D seismic acquisition operations.

Not unusual for 2D seismic. Rarely happens for 3D seismic.
