The magic question??????My guess "years away"

The issue with Crawford is the thinning out and eventual disappearance of the Point Pleasant.

Ditto...thought Range would be giving Crawford well updates during 3q report but nada...

Their Washington County acreage is really strong, so I suspect that's where they'd put all their eggs.  Their finances are not so great the last few years, so I wouldn't expect them to stray too far from what they know is their best position, at least in the near term.

Look at their Report on Oct 14, 2013. Shows SW Pa (Washington County) at 51% HBP. Very next Report on 10-29-2013 (only 2 weeks later) shows projected 93% HBP under current leases (5 years ?) and that other 7% will be resigned to get to 100%.

That's a whole lot of drilling to HBP. Keep in mind no one is saying all this drilling will be Horizontal Wells. A few well placed conventional wells can hold  quite a large swath of land.

I believe they have a couple producing wells in Crawford County and vicinity, had hoped they would report/update the results. Obvious that Crawford not looking too good so far but other drillers may do better going forward.I have 38 acres near East Mead/Richmond Twp. border and have had no leasing inquiries.

What is Range's position in Venango County? I know they drilled near Dempseytown a couple years ago....not far from Crawford County.....

I don't know when, however I just read a promising article in the Erie Times last week... it can be found on the GoErie.com website.  I own land just a mile north of the Crawford/Erie county line, and I have been trying to keep up with any info about drilling coming to our area.

here is the heading of the article in the Erie Times:
