A Special
Merry Christmas
A special Merry Christmas for those in GOMS that are currently deployed or has family deployed. We sometimes fail to remember those far away some their first time of having a Christmas away from home, Those that are young and those that have children back home Christmas is indeed takes on new memories. For parents a day of loneliness with a degree of worry.
Our service men and women are in places that only in their hearts can make a Christmas with the family they now trust their lives with. From submarines on patrol in the oceans depth a Christmas Tree will appear. In a sleeping bag on a mountain top the words Merry Christmas will be said to a fellow soldier. On a Air Force plane the crew will be looking for a radar contact with Santa.
Some of us have went through this but we made it through it in some cases like the Battle of the Bulge under trying times.
Spread a bit of cheer through the internet or remember a neighbor that has a loved one serving.
For my own, I still appreciate the USO, the YMCA Servicemen's Clubs, the Salvation Army, and the countless Americans that took the time to volunteer to make them part of the military family.
