Permalink Reply by The Hiker on December 31, 2013 at 3:17am From my experience, you should watch the ODNR Engineer's Permits for wells close to your acreage....that's the place it will first be posted on their site. Then watch for the unit plat map to appear under the "Completions" section, and look for your acreage (hopefully) inside the unit map. Or, you can call ODNR after the well is listed under the engineers section and ask them to email you a plat of the well unit....or, you can call your county recorder and ask if you have been included in a unit....or, you can call the oil company and ask them. Either way, don't expect some official document to arrive in the mail from the oil company announcing anything, unless your oil company has got it together.

It's recorded on the lawrence county recorders website. The Whiting well is recorded of who is in the unit.
Permalink Reply by Kevin on January 3, 2014 at 3:15am Some times if it's up to the gas co. you may never find out. We signed with Ches. in 2008 and a couple years later they sold it to SW with no notification to us. I found out using Landex. That's also how I found out about the unit we belong to. The well came on line May 23, 2013. I had been waiting for division orders and got a pleasant surprise Dec. 27 when I received the check, no division orders yet.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
