Happy Reading for 2014!!   Here is the third quarter production report:

followed by an article on the release.

The typical Utica shale well in eastern Ohio produced 137,168 thousand cubic feet of natural gas and 5,439 barrels of liquids from July through September, according to a new report released on Tuesday by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

That is enough natural gas to generate about $550,000 and enough oil to generate an additional $490,000 from each of the the state’s first 245 Utica shale wells or nearly $1 billion a year  from all the wells.

"Those are very good numbers," said Jeff Daniels, a geophysicist at Ohio State University, co-director of the university’s Sub-Surface Energy Resources Center and an expert on Utica shale drilling. "They’re high but they don’t shock me."

Depletions may be similar Busy Bee but rest assured, Buell and Boy Scout are different animals geologically... Buell is night and day drier....

Just my take

Thanks Jimmy .

Busy Bee, I am not sure that the Buell well is still in production:

Randal, do you have any more information on the legal battle over the Buell and Jewett wells?

I haven't read, or heard anything on the Buell lawsuit or the Sportsman Club lawsuit.

It may be two or three years before they get to trial. Attorneys can delay these things for a long time, if it is in their interest.

Randy

The buell well was settled out of court

Do you know what the settlement was?

gag ordered settlement. but if i gauge his smile he did alright..he deserves it too

Good, I am glad he was justly compensated.

Thanks guys for the info on the Buell. What about the 1st and 2nd quarters of 2013 ? Do we have any info for the first half of the years production. If these wells produce for decades like many believe there should be plenty of profit for all .
Thanks Randy . The oil has dropped off with the Buell but the gas flow doesn't appear to be dropping much .:
