Rumors & Tidbits for Guernsey County

Some true,some hearsay...Aubrey is looking for a site to build his regional office with a Cambridge address.  Aep Utica is looking to drill a well behind the General store in Old Washington,early feb.   .AEP is drilling now in Harrison co. Rice will be moving their big rig from Belmont co. to daddy Shugerts well in Old Washington,soon. Bluegrass Pipeline coming thru the county this year. Compressor  station for Antero's well below Senecaville is ready to fire up any day.  Gulfport is sending rigs to Guernsey soon. EQT is wanting to drill 21 new wells in Guernsey this year. Carrizo has 2 pads built,ready to roll. Cheasapeake,all of a  sudden,likes Guernsey,better than Carroll. The company wanting to build an apartment complex at the I-77/Rt.22 site has agreed to help finance a sewer plant needed at that site& Coventry Estates. Motel to be built across from Pilot on the hill almost ready to roll. Some landowners near Quaker City are getting offers of $13,400. per acre to sell their Mineral rights.  Any other tidbits are welcome. You hear things from credible sources that may not even be true,but you be the judge.

MMMMMMMMM... looks to me like Guernsey county is the BIG BIG... Oil/Gas location...

To dangerous on these roads especially eastern guernsey county. Wrecks everyday on 513. We have 10 times the amount of traffic that we had 5 years ago but I'm not complaining

Has anybody heard of a new compressor station being built near Kimbolton? I heard that a few months ago , but that's it. The smaller ones can pop up pretty quickly and are usually hidden.

This is the best title for a topic I've seen.  Good job.  Heard the same about Aubrey and Shugert wells.  Chk I think is fracking one of the yockey wells as we speak.  They just drilled one on the Mcclain unit then pulled everything out that was surprising.  Eclipse is building 3 well pads within a mile of the Mcclain well.  With a few more planned around Quaker City.  Should be a busy year around here

Evan, it appears the McClain unit was drilled to hold some cheap Anschultz leases that Chesapeake acquired.  That is an area they would not wish to lose.  My family holds the mineral rights to acreage immediately south of the McClain pad.  All the permitted wells for the McClain unit are to the northwest; there does not appear to be any plans any laterals to the southeast.  I am not sure if they would have to create a second unit for the lands to the south or what.  Have you heard of any talk of wells to the south?

I have heard of someone who received a $15,000/acre offer for their land just outside of Salesville.

There are several wells planned to the south of McClain but the acres are leased to antero and eclipse. Not sure chk plans on going that way but they did say they planned on 8 wells from that pad eventually so who knows

Adorn is the surface owner.  My father was granted the oil/gas rights by way of a reservation made in the late '60's.  Those rights are leased to Gulfport.

ok i thought i knew that situation.   There is a vertical well on that property its an old well though.  is this a recent lease or did gulfport take the lease over from the owner of the old well?
