a question for anyone

noticed on my check from Enervest  that they took out money for ADV = this is Ad Valorem Tax .

 Does anyone know what this tax is for.

I can not believe it is for property tax on my well as it says in my lease that the company  [ MB operating ] has to pay that tax.

Sounds like the O&G co is playing a game or the government is taxing u twice for the same piece of property!

Did you have an O&G atty review your lease before signing? That is something that should have been caught.

Leased 1985 and held by production , MB did not deduct anything Enervest took over and just started taking it out

Hmmm, I would get that lease to a good O & G atty asap and have it reviewed. Im sure its no small change they are taking.
