60 Minutes Exposed the Lie that is Green Energy

60 Minutes did an expose showing the failure of the "green" energy push by Obama.

They have blown over $150 Billion! on this boondoggle.  And that doesn't count the wasted monies of gasohol.  And the wasted opportunity costs that the moneys could have generated if they had been spent on better investments like training workers on O & G industry jobs.

This has been brought to people's attention many times, including a few times here on this forum.  The sad truth is most, after a time, forget and then it is gone like it never happened.  Thanks for bringing this back to the forefront Jim.  Let us never forget and find some way to hold the idiots that be - accountable to us taxpayers in the future!

This not a new idea. Our Govt wanted to develop a project like this collecting the solar energy with orbiting satellites decades ago. The rest of the world said they would never ever let us proceed and will not allow it in the future either. The project decades ago would have also converted the energy into microwaves that would be beamed to a collector in the desert. The collector would have had a 180 mile radius of deadly radiation around it. You can imagine if the emitter changed angle a few degrees, it could burn a large city off the earth in a moment. This could be the most powerful weapon ever developed. Ain't going to happen.

You are right. I shouldn't have said never. As long as the beam is microwaves and peace across the Earth hasn't haapenned, It will most likely not happen. I wish it could, sounds like a great idea.
