Has anyone got a handle on what is going on with Great River?
They are without a doubt the most disorganized operation on the planet.
Many leases were signed in Belmont County but most are way beyond the bonus time frame outlined in the lease or the order of payment.

I checked Paloma and Gulfport etc. they all file memorandums within a few days of signing contract. GRE take about a year.
Did they file a memorandum?? Did you send them the 30 day letter??
Permalink Reply by adam sorell on March 27, 2014 at 10:12am I got offered $7250 from another company but shitty contract with market enhancement. I called Great River rep said she call me back. I won't hold my breath. Rep said they are only limited to 2 hours in court house that why they are behind but that i think is b.s. because RICE, Paloma, and others file leases within days.
Permalink Reply by TM on March 27, 2014 at 10:55am Great River has filed alot of leases in Belmont County. Go to this site below and select your county and type in your name to see if they filed your lease with the recorders office.
Permalink Reply by adam sorell on March 27, 2014 at 12:47pm I already did. they only have 1088 filings that isn't very much. most of the leases were signed in August or September and filed in feb or march.
Permalink Reply by Terry giuliani on March 27, 2014 at 3:15pm My neighbors on 2 sides of me just got paid by Great River 3 weeks ago. One had 130 acres and the other had 3 acres in two lots. Jefferson Co, Steubenville township.
Permalink Reply by adam sorell on March 27, 2014 at 5:07pm how long did it take?
Permalink Reply by Terry giuliani on March 28, 2014 at 1:55am It took them about 5 months.
Permalink Reply by Frances K Leek on March 30, 2014 at 7:18am Thank you so much for this info. They did file with the county but it was on Feb 5 of this year and I signed on Sep25th 2013. 176 days ago. So I wounder how long now until I get my check?
Permalink Reply by Frances K Leek on March 31, 2014 at 12:38pm I have and I think the salesman just tells me what he thinks I want to hear. Checks in the mail thing. He said he is getting over 100 calls a day so that doesn't sound good as far as leasors.
Permalink Reply by Rick on March 28, 2014 at 7:06am Not to change the subject but did everyone get their 1099's from the upfront money paid in 2013? I received one for a parcel that was in my companies name but not on the parcel that was in my name personally?

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
