So you are saying when Pennant Midstream is not on site at office the sheriff sits at this pad or does he just patrols occasionally. I have never seen him there before and I go by there twice a day typically. He was inside the gated area by the office and the other gate to the pad was open like they might be getting a delivery. It was a weekend and no one from Pennant was working. Today Pennant was on site so no sheriff there. And if they received a delivery I could not see what it was but I did see a pick up with a long trailer that could haul pipe out to the various road crossings for delivery. He did not have any pipe on the trailer though. Did not see any workers today in the rain along this route. Guess we will have to watch and wait and see what progresses.
Chesapeake has at least two guards who patrol our area. They are usually in one of two trucks but the other night I saw him in a smaller car ... better gas mileage???
i went up on pad and looked at all equipment trucks hoes trailers rows of pipe pilled 20ft. high and elbows for pipe line when i was leaving sheriff car coming in talked to him and he told me they do securtity anytime they come by or when waiting for next call they sit there gooooood thing i new him lol.
i dont believe they shut the gates and kathleen what do you need the sheriff for security better by ins. n get a gun i dont think there coming lol
Seems logical to me. They have the one location here so why pay a company security guy to drive over hear from their other wells mostly in PA I believe. Salary, gas, vehicle, etc. would cost a pretty penny. Probably cheaper to hire local sheriff to drive by now and then. Chesapeake on the other hand has so many wells in the area they have several security vehicles and people driving around 24-7. I wonder if they have security cameras on these pads. They have a solar array that would probably provide enough electricity for them.
Anyone hear anything about this being a well site or just a storage yard or pipes?
It is currently just a pipeyard. The pipeline from New Middleton Crogenic plant to Kensington is being completed now. There is another storage yard at Route 30 and Trinity Church. I believe there was a permit in the works for a Hillcorp well at the site closer to Lisbon ... the pipeyard. It has a permit board exactly like the Salem Grubbs Hillcorp well. But there has been no pad built there or other signs of drilling in the near future.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
