I'm a landowner in the Potts Farm Subdivision off Batesville Rd. in Quaker City. Does anyone have any information or updates on potential drilling in that area? We signed our lease 2 years ago in August. Just wondering where things stand now, if any drilling is planned in that area, or is it a low activity area? , etc...

I'm just off of Putney Ridge, and it is definitely an exciting time around here. There is activity to your East, West and just to your South East in the Karen wells that Chesapeake drilled last year. It would not surprise me to see Chesapeake come back into the Karen pad and drill more holes to the North West, which would put them right under your area.
Hole tight, It seems that the majority of permits and drilling takes place in the spring since it takes so long to actually get a pad drilled/fraced and into production. With more rigs coming into the area all the time, I think next year will be even more exciting than this one.

And to see companies like Gulfport reinvesting back into the communities ...like the $400k they gave in the area of Cambridge. Lots of shiny new trucks all over the eastern and southeastern counties these days! We won't get rich off our little piece of land, but everything helps, right ;-)?

Permalink Reply by Tom on June 19, 2014 at 12:08pm Well I guess that is even better for folks like OSUNerd who are signed with Gulfport. The way the wells are situated it would be no surprise to me to see then use the same pad and go to the North West.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
