Halcon's acreage in the entire Northern Utica is for sale but I understand there are no buyers. The Allam well in Venango County was again flared on June 7 or June 8. My understanding is that if the flame is strong and undiminished for a total of 28-30 days, this would be a good sign for that well and would likely improve Halcon's ability to sell its acreage in Venango County which is part of the northern Utica. If the flare peters out during this period, I believe that might be a very negative thing for landholders in Venango County. I am one of those landowners!
About 2 months ago there were rumors that Halcon had an offer to sell the Venango county acreage but only Venango county, heard the offer was turned down. Don't know who made that offer.
They are doing nothing on Rainbow. In fact I believe Halcon may have surrendered the lease on the Rainbow property.
