Chesapeake Energy To Pass on Tappan Lake

  I was just informed Tappen lake is not being leased by Chk. There new  land leasing will be in Belmont , Monroe, and Noble Co.  Tappen is on hold for various HBP and Anti drill issues. Its going to be a tough one for a gas and oil co. to consider what the lands future will become and may be a few years before any rigs will be seen around the lake.

IMHO Belmont, Monroe and Noble are nearing a leased out position.   So will they buy acreage from another producer?    And their royalty payout reputation is well known so will individual landowners be interested in their type of deal?

But this does show the southern acreage continues to be the "hot spot" of 2014. The question is how long will that last?
