Meaning you think probably more than "exaggerating" but, still somehow short of "fibbing" ?

What would you label that tact ?

EUR calculations are about as accurate as next month's weather forecast.  Yes, it will be hot in August, but how hot?  And when will it rain?  These guys have made a living with smoke and mirrors.  In this case I'm going to have to disagree with my dear friend Ronald Reagan and skip the "trust" part and go right to the "verify" portion of the relationship.
