Permalink Reply by Oliver Perry on August 15, 2014 at 12:34pm Hi Phil & Matt,
Attached is the BCLG agreement and it states $10 to join and $25 per acre after a lease is signed. A very reasonable fee in my opinion, I wish I would have joined when I had a chance. Instead I chose to go it alone and was left outside looking in!! I believe they were the only landowner group in northern Butler County.Oh well, hopefully something will develop soon with REX.
I also have a copy of the SWEPI lease and will post that when I find it.

Here is the copy of the SWEPI lease that was offered to me.
Permalink Reply by Oliver Perry on August 15, 2014 at 1:06pm I didn't know that Matt. What a tremendous deal that was to be a part of that group for a mere $10.
Thanks for correcting me.

That pdf is the agreement between the landowner and the BCLG allowing BCLG to market their property to the gas and oil companies. It is not the lease.
However, that document is of interest to me so Thank You!

Permalink Reply by Oliver Perry on August 17, 2014 at 1:51am I realize that Phil. The post after that one has the lease attached.
Permalink Reply by Philip Thackray on August 17, 2014 at 1:54am I misunderstood. I thought that the second pdf was the lease SWEPI wanted people to sign. So that is the lease developed by BCLG?

Permalink Reply by Oliver Perry on August 17, 2014 at 3:21am The lease I attached is the one offered to me. The lease the BCLG folks signed was probably close to the same, with some minor changes. Perhaps Matt can post that one.

No problem. No hurry.
Thanks again!

Permalink Reply by Bill on August 17, 2014 at 3:33pm The SWEPI lease for those not in the BCLG is the same as the BCLG lease, I believe, because I got that same lease without being in any group and I signed, with an additional page of addenda favoring my position in the lease. Shell/SWEPI were very good to work with IMO. Also there was another group negotiating, the Dick Landowners Group. I believe they got the same terms as well.
I'm hoping we all benefit from this latest development!

Thanks for the information. I hope Rex works out for you (previous) Shell guys!

Permalink Reply by DMS on August 18, 2014 at 1:33am I haven't seen the other SWEPI leases, but we in the BCLG had a lot of addendum's and lease renewing stipulations put in place during the negotiations so i would be surprised if they were all the same...

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
