I seen tonight there is a horizontal rig in Stark County. Looks like the rig is in either Nimishillen or Washington Township. Maybe Enervest is starting to drill one of their horizontal clinton wells they have permitted. I do not know for sure who the operator is that is drilling. If anyone lives close to this area try and see who is drilling this well. I have a feeling it is probably Enervest.

EnerVest does pay much for leases without competition.  They are in no hurry...  most of their acreage is HBP.  Be patient.

I seen today the Rummell Farms horizontal clinton well by Enervest is producing 107MCF of gas and 56bbl of oil a day in a completion report. 81 acre unit.

Now to our Clinton horizontal play. Through previous asset acquisitions along with EnerVest, EVEP has a substantial position in the East Canton oilfield in Tuscarawas, Stark and Carroll counties of Ohio. Over 4,000 wells have been drilled in this field since 1947. The East Canton oilfield has an estimated 1.5 billion barrels of oil in place in the Clinton reservoir and only 7% has been recovered. This field covers approximately 214,000 acres and EnerVest controls half of it.

EVEP has around 30,000 net held by production acres in this play. Over the past year, EnerVest has undertaken an extensive study on the potential for infill horizontal wells in the Clinton play. We have recently drilled and fraced five horizontal Clinton wells. The four wells we have turned in line each IPed at around 80 barrels a day with associated gas. The estimated drilling and completion costs of around 2.6 million and estimated EURs of 100,000 to 150,000 equivalent barrels. These projects are estimated to generate 20% returns at a flat $80 per barrel oil price.

So far, we have identified approximately 70 locations within the EVEP properties. If we are successful, we believe this number could grow substantially. These are early days but we are very pleased with this potential resource opportunity. Again, this acreage is held by production, so we have good flexibility around timing of activity.
