No. How much did they settle for? I know McDonald Law Firm was trying to get people in Bradford county to sign up for a lawsuit against Chesapeake. I think they are going to court in May
I have not been to any of the meetings nor have I signed up with any law firm. Which one do we sign up with?
I think it also said lawfirm gets 2.5 percent for the lfe of well, anyone involved with the clark not mcdonald law firm. Dosn't. 12 millon sound to cheap !
In the article I saw late last year about the proposed settlement, the damages paid were for past royalties and were calculated by reimbursing 55% of post production costs and therefore allowing Chesapeake to keep 45% of post production costs. It also stipulated that going forward Chesapeake could charge 66% of production costs. Typically fees for attorney's on future royalties only apply for a set period of time.
...as evidenced in the article linked to by Mr. Capwell:
"The attorneys are also entitled to receive up to one-third of the savings lease owners will receive due to the reduction in post-production costs going forward, but that payment would stop after five years."
Yes, "heard" it but don't know the details.
In a statement to it's shareholders Chesapeake advised that the have currently set aside a $100,000,000. reserve for settlement of these various lawsuits.
No. Infact I just received papers to sign up for a lawsuit against Chesapeke and all their partners in crime yesterday in the mail.
