As Geo mentioned in another post, REX recorded three unit declarations for the Renick wells on April 2nd. I attached them below for anyone interested.

Thank you for the valuable info Oliver P.
You're welcome Matt & Bob. REX recorded the 4th Renick unit April 6th, and is attached below.
Bob, I saw a post where you mentioned 4 Renick units, so I had a look at the Butler County Recorder's site and saw the last unit recorded yesterday. I wanted to add it to this thread for anyone interested.
RMC, that's a million dollar question! For now it will be only 4 wells in order to HBP as much land as possible. If REX stays in business(which I believe they will), they eventually will return to drill more but maybe not on the same pad. We will have to wait and see what RENICK pad production numbers look like before any of us laymen can make an educated guess. Maybe someone with more facts can help us along the way. This is all just my humble opinion based upon previous discussion with a landman. Sorry I don't have any solid facts for you. Good luck and may you strike it rich.
These units seem to cover quite a large amount of area to be HBP for just 4 wells. Each unit is approximately 3700FT wide by 2.5 miles long. Maybe 4 wells per unit. And still over 2 miles long at that. Or are my measuements totally off? I used the measurement utility on Butler Co website GIS map program and eyeballed the unit boundries.
Klix, Only 1 well per production unit on Renick pad for now. Rex is holding one thousand plus acres HBP per well until they get as much acreage held as possible in Butler county Pa.
Klix,
The acreage of each unit is listed on the map at the end of the declarations that Oliver Perry has posted. Each one is about 1100 acres which is less than 2 square miles (1280 acres) which is the new normal limit for a unit.
Phil
The one well flare on Renick pad is now out. Don't know if that is good or bad news. Also, last night I heard several "explosions?"(for lack of a better word). Does anyone know what that would be? Is that how they shut down a "flared well"?

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
