Rex Energy Stock

Anybody happen to notice that when Rex Energy dipped to it's new low of $1.85, that buyers quickly jumped in to drive it up to $2.11 ??  And now, only a few days later it's at $3.35 !!!  Yes, I am an owner of the stock)))

Here are what some analysts think. The latest one is at 75 cents. There are some high ones though. I wonder where those numbers came from.

A lot of companies buy their own stock or arrange for it to move in some way to drive up the price, and entice another round of buyers,,,,I would have better luck raising nightcrawlers than betting on the oil biz right now, at least the vermin are straightforward and make no pretenses!!

     Given NASDAQ rules REXX will be able to avoid potential delisting in 2016.  With some research on the company you can get an idea on what is behind the drop in the stock price.

Actually, it is amazing how low stocks can go.
I have seen stocks go literally, to values such a .ool cent.

Rex Energy Announces Suspension of Preferred Dividend

STATE COLLEGE, Pa., Jan. 21, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Rex Energy Corporation (Nasdaq:REXX) today announced that it has suspended payment of its quarterly dividend on shares of its 6.0% Series A convertible perpetual preferred stock.

The company has 16,100 shares of 6.0% convertible perpetual preferred stock outstanding, represented by 1,610,000 depositary shares, and will continue to evaluate the payment or suspension of the dividend on a quarterly basis. The dividend suspension creates an additional $2.4 million of liquidity per quarter and does not constitute an event of default under the company's revolving credit facility or outstanding bond indentures.
