Sorry Folks,
Lateral Accuracy on ODNR Well Locator:
When Pitts Well 10H was drilled it showed the As Drilled horizontal 1000 feet from my property line, so I didn't look further. That was in 2013.
In 2015 I looked at the Plat Map for Pitts 10H which shows the horizontal 600 feet from my property line, so Chesapeake made the Unit border at 550 feet down from the 800 feet on the As Planned Plat Map which would have included my land in the unit. This is obvious retaliation for not allowing seismic testing which included setting off charges in the spring when the ground was damp. My neighbor allowed the testing which brought his water to the surface of his fields due to losing the underground shale flow paths. Who would have thought that could happen, maybe I did.
Take a look at the Plat Maps included in the documentation that goes with each well. You may even find that Chesapeake goes out of their way to change the As Drilled Plat to make sure you are treated appropriately.
The ODNR Chief has to give his signature for these odd Unit configurations. Don't forget him when you take legal actions due to a bad Unit.
If you click on the link for each well, there is usually a link to plats and permits which can be interesting; if you don't see it, look for a less than obvious place to scroll down.
i found the permit for the 1990 shallow well on my property, so the electronic records go back a ways.
Rickey,
It sounds like you need to call in a heavy weight, you may have been cheated out of a large sum of money.
Here is an email from Greg Brunton a lawyer from Columbus, with his information. He knows pipelines. Give him a call and see what he can do to cure this problem.
Sorry for the delay in reading your post. I've been a bit busy.
Thanks Rickey. Ron

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
