Anyone recently sign a lease in Greene County?

Our lease is up in September and was wondering what the going rate may be?  I've been hearing that most people are being lowballed?

Pete, do you happen to have a good number for EQT for a mineral owner to ask questions??  Supposedly there is a pad in (was done before all the bankruptcies) that will hit my property, but I'm trying to find out current information and status on it.  I'm out of state (Nevada), and last year I sold the surface and kept the mineral rights, so it makes it doubly hard at a distance to get any accurate info.  Thanks!!

I was contacted by a fellow claiming to represent E.Q.T shortly after the takeover of Rice. Rep. claims he was instructed to make contact with ANY landowner that had less than 2yrs. remaining on their lease,that DID NOT have automatic renewal. They wanted to top lease for another 5yrs.in addition to the existing 16 months that was still under lease.Their offer was on the verge of ridiculous & there stance was "TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT" as we are the only game in town.Property in question is located in Jackson Twp. Greene Co., Pa. I refused & the E.Q.T.'s reply was let it run out which it will in 11 months. They " E.Q.T." as far as I'm concerned can bend that drill steel & go around my acreage as of this point in time they have know idea how little I care this B.S. has been going on long enough.

I have a feeling EQT is going to offer us some ridiculous low number as well. Ours is going to expire in September and they do have a 3 year extension, but I don't look for them to extend it as is. I figure they will lowball us...I will not take a crappy lease.

What Twp.are your mineral rights located in? I believe you need to ck. further into your 3 yr. extension as to wording you may not but, for your sake I hope you do have options. I hope when you signed that you did so for the marcellus only! If time is on your side there is always other shale plays that I believe in the near future will be inviting to O.& G. companys.

Yeah the wording is it expires this Sept. Either they agree to what we got the first 5 years or it terminates. We are in Monongahelia twp. Not many companies in this area right now. EQT and Chevron are about it.

Hey' Mother what is the latest on your lease, did you get a new one or not? If you did is it one you can live with, if not are you talking to anyone about a new one?
