Rumors & Tidbits for Guernsey County

Some true,some hearsay...Aubrey is looking for a site to build his regional office with a Cambridge address.  Aep Utica is looking to drill a well behind the General store in Old Washington,early feb.   .AEP is drilling now in Harrison co. Rice will be moving their big rig from Belmont co. to daddy Shugerts well in Old Washington,soon. Bluegrass Pipeline coming thru the county this year. Compressor  station for Antero's well below Senecaville is ready to fire up any day.  Gulfport is sending rigs to Guernsey soon. EQT is wanting to drill 21 new wells in Guernsey this year. Carrizo has 2 pads built,ready to roll. Cheasapeake,all of a  sudden,likes Guernsey,better than Carroll. The company wanting to build an apartment complex at the I-77/Rt.22 site has agreed to help finance a sewer plant needed at that site& Coventry Estates. Motel to be built across from Pilot on the hill almost ready to roll. Some landowners near Quaker City are getting offers of $13,400. per acre to sell their Mineral rights.  Any other tidbits are welcome. You hear things from credible sources that may not even be true,but you be the judge.

Krugliac Wilkins Griffith &Dougherty Canton,ohio  330-754-2851 they have a bucket load of lawyers,dont know which one will be handling Center Twp. group. I'm just going with Hearsay,so if you find out there's any truth to this,let us know.

Thanks for the info Bo.... Ascent extended my lease here in wills township and I'm suppose to be in a drill unit but haven't seen anything in writing yet, just know what the landman told me when he extended my lease... Thanks and keep posting

lance, does this mean they would drill under the interstate? or would your wellpad be nnw from you? There were people on Lake Ridge rd. got extended leases who were told that too. A pad there would probably have laterals reaching you.

I'm not sure Bo, about the acres on lake Ridge rd. That may be the unit I'm in... As far as the interstate,I'm sure that the State of Ohio has OK'd drilling under it a couple years ago. Correct me if I'm wrong....

I see after looking at the ODNR oil&gas well locator site that the Fineran well by Eclipse has 4 legs going nnw. under I-70 .On Oxford rd. This is the only one in the whole state map. I remember a couple years ago they drilled the verticles,but not the horizontals because they had to forcepool the state of ohio to drill under the interstate and at that time it wasn't happening. now they are back with the rig to drill the horizontals evidently. this is good news. Maybe it just takes a couple years to get it approved.

Hi Bo, do you have any insight into possible wells in Madison Township. My propertly is on Brush Fork Road between 22 and 513 and my lease with Eclipse expires at the end of 2019.  Thanks.

Should be a good place for drilling. pipelines are there. Ascent isn't to far away drilling. just east of 513. People who I know around them parts have been leased again when their 1st lease expired. You may be hearing from eclipse this year. They will be changing their name to Montage Resources in a few months after their merger is completed. Maybe they'll have more $$$ to deal with then. Your lease probably gives them 1st option to extend the lease. Having a good relationship with your neighbors who are in the same boat would help by strength in $s for negotiations. I know Gulfport screwed things up there bigtime in the area by making all the wrong moves on their 1st attempt at the Utica at the Grohl well by Antrim, With todays drilling/fracking techniques, wells there will be good oil producers.

There's been a lot of engineering work done on the Larrick property, Larrick Ridge rd. just above Old National rd. Center twp. Terracon has seen all over the track doing some kind of testing/mapping/engineering of some sort that cant have anything to do with raising cattle. The 100 acre parcel was re-leased by Ascent last fall for some reason. could be pipeline,could be compressor station,could be a wellpad?  Center Twp has been getting eyeballed by Ascent and Ecipse lately. May be lookin 10 years down the road,but I've been noticing the interest lately. From that location they could reach Salt Fork lake to the nnw,and I-70 going sse. just guessing for now.
